Last night I went to a pre-screening of RENT. It was truly amazing. The adaptation from stage to screen helped to fill in any gaps that were left in the musical. Chris Columbus (director) did a fantastic job as well. For those RENT fans - it is nothing short of magical. The original Broadway cast brought it as always and Rosario Dawson as Mimi was stunning, though I missed Daphne Rubin-Vega as Mimi.

For those people who have seen the musical way too many times; have the soundtrack memorized and can reenact the stage blocking you will notice differences. There are a few key parts of the soundtrack left out - though it is still fantastic. I don't want to say too much so that I don't ruin the movie for you.
